West Bank Motorcycle Club Handbook
The West Bank Motorcycle Club got its start at the University of Minnesota under the name 'University Motorcycle Club'. The first meetings/rides were from Coffman Union.
In late 1969, after a name change to the West Bank Motorcycle Club it was off to the Riverside/West Bank area and the Viking, 400 and Triangle Bars. Finally settling on the Triangle Bar until the end of 1971.
As the club grew it was time to move to more spacious quarters at The Joint/Cabooze for 1972 to 1979. The West Bank Motorcycle Club's first ride out of The Joint was on April 29th, 1972 to Tom Carroll's place for a "get acquainted party". [April 1972 Newsletter].
Eventually the clubs headquarters were moved to the Golden Leaf bar; renamed to Whiskey Junction around 1984. At the end of 2017 Whiskey Junction closed down and the West Bank Motorcycle Club started looking for a new home and selected the Fraternal Order of Eagles a mile to the south.
After a season at the FOE (Fraternal Order of Eagles) it was back to our old stomping grounds, a bit closer to the West Bank again and closer to prospective WBMC members.
The West Bank Motorcycle Club is now riding out of The Joint/Caboose which was also our ride starting point 1972 to 1979.
